WCCCD

Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD), established in 1967, has five campuses located in industrial, rural and metropolitan areas where a major share of Michigan’s technical and skilled occupations are located. As WCCCD serves the city of Detroit and the surrounding tri-county area, it places a strong emphasis on occupational and career programs, and traditional college and university transfer programs.

Curtis Greene, Science Department Facilitator with Wayne County Community College District, is dedicated to assisting economically disadvantaged urban students with the resources, support, and experiences they need to develop advanced skills in the STEM fields. He believes that one of the duties of community colleges is to provide such students access and to expose them to diverse groups of living role models in the fields of science and research.
